About Robert Taylor Memorial Fund

The ACIP family recently lost one of its dearest friends, founders, and champions. Dr. Robert Taylor passed away peacefully at his home in Gaithersburg, Maryland at age 94. Dr. Taylor began working tirelessly for ALL in 1987 upon his retirement, and continued non-stop for over 25 years. His contribution to the technological achievements and fundraising efforts made by ACIP in those early years cannot be measured.

ACIP continues to use technology to advance the preservation and access of the world’s cultural wisdom heritage. The Dr. Robert Taylor Memorial Fund will provide critical resources to ensure that ACIP can continue to meet its archival obligations as technology evolves, by supporting staff and hard costs and infrastructure costs that are required to create and maintain our wold-class digital library.
